Ville de Montréal, ICLEI and MIT Climate CoLab launch circular economy solutions contest

As part of the ICLEI World Congress 2018, the Ville de Montréal and ICLEI are seeking innovative solutions.

Cities are at the center of global economic growth, and account for 70 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. The main factors influencing GHG emissions in urban areas include activities at the heart of the urban economy and consumption habits of residents.

Many cities including Ville de Montréal, host of the ICLEI World Congress 2018, are working to reduce emissions while maintaining high economic growth rates and increase productivity and new business investments by transitioning towards a circular economy.

This contest aims to find innovative solutions to support cities in their transition to a circular economy. Create a proposal here.
